Short version:We built ASTRO VPN so that there's as little as possible to hand over if anyone ever asked. Our servers are not designed to retain browsing history, connection logs, or IP addresses tied to you.

This no-logs commitment applies equally to our free and paid plans. We do not discriminate between devices, protocols, or applications, and we never throttle your connection based on what you're doing online.

Account Data
To provide you with a working account, we collect a minimal set of information at sign-up:
- Email address— used to send account notifications and support responses. You may use an alias if you prefer additional anonymity.
- Payment reference— we store only a transaction ID from our payment processor. Full card details never touch our servers.
- Subscription status— which plan you hold and its renewal date, so we can manage your access correctly.
We do not sell, rent, or share your account data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Support inquiries may be seen by members of our support team, who operate under strict confidentiality agreements.
Anonymous payment:We accept cryptocurrency payments for users who want to keep even their payment method private. When you pay with crypto, the only account data we hold is your email address and subscription status.
Data Security
Every ASTRO VPN server runs full-disk encryption, so even in the event of physical server seizure, there is minimal exposure since activity data isn't retained.
- All account data is stored exclusively on servers owned and operated by ASTRO VPN, located in jurisdictions with strong privacy protections.
- Data in transit between your device and our servers is protected using modern encryption protocols including WireGuard and OpenVPN.

Legal Requests & Transparency

If we receive a request for information about a specific user, our response will be limited to whatever basic account data we hold (typically an email address and subscription status). We will notify affected users of any request when legally permitted to do so.

Our website uses a minimal set of cookies strictly necessary for its operation — for example, to remember your login session. We do not place tracking or advertising cookies on your device.
For website analytics we use a privacy-respecting, self-hosted solution that does not share data with third-party advertising networks. Straight answers to the questions we hear most often about how we handle your data.
No. Our servers are configured to avoid writing activity logs. We do not record which websites you visit, which apps you use, what files you access, or how much data you transfer per session.
If a government issued a lawful order demanding user data, we could only provide what we actually hold — which does not include activity logs. The most we could produce is basic account information such as an email address and subscription status. Every such request we receive is documented in our annual transparency report.
For most users: an email address, a hashed password, your subscription plan, and a payment transaction reference. That's it. If you pay with cryptocurrency, we have even less — just your email and plan status. We do not store your browsing activity, IP addresses, or connection history.
You can request account deletion directly from your account dashboard at any time. Once submitted, all personal data associated with your account is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.
